Universities are constantly procuring new products or services to support their digital environment. This may include institutional licensing for an LMS, library databases, applications used for individual classes, or contracting services for the development of web applications. Incorporating accessibility into the purchasing and procurement process can be vital to maintain an environment of access while reducing risks associated with inaccessible digital assets. This session will share policies and processes for evaluating accessibility and assessing risk prior to purchase. In addition, an overview of the accessibility questions included in the latest version of the HECVAT will be provided.
