In this Introduction to Disability and Digital Accessibility, participants will consider why digital accessibility is essential for all university programs and services. We will outline basic information on the types of disabilities and how assistive technology is used by individuals to access our electronic content. We will review the legal imperative to employ and create accessible digital environments. Lastly, we will explore the potential for Universal Design to support our work so that we may realize our potential to envision and create institutional digital access for all.
